How To Build A Squeeze Page Using Clickfunnels (SUPER EASY!)

First, Watch This Video:

If you’re doing any type of online marketing, you need to be collecting leads for your business.

One of the best ways to do that is to build a squeeze page…

With a squeeze page, you offer something of value to a potential lead in exchange for their email address.

Now there are a few things you want to keep in mind when you’re building a squeeze page that’ll…

…make it higher-converting and get you those valuable leads that you’re looking for.

And you definitely want to use quality software that will help you present your offer in a professional way as well.

So in this article, I’m going to go over my TOP 5 TIPS for building a squeeze page using the page-building software program called Clickfunnels

Tip 1: Have A High-Quality Offer…

If you’re trying to acquire leads, there needs to be an exchange of value.

You need to give a person something in return if you expect them to give you their email address.

And that free giveaway needs to be something that they’ll be interested in…

…and something that is going to help them accomplish whatever their particular goals are.

For example, if you’re marketing in the weight loss niche, you should have a giveaway that is actually going to help that person lose weight.

Or if you’re in the make money online niche you should have a giveaway that helps that person get started making money online.

Now, it’s really important that this free giveaway offers value to your potential lead because if it doesn’t, they’re just going to be disappointed when they finally receive it…

…and even though you have their e-mail address, they’re not going to respond to your emails positively.

They’re just going to think that you kind of suckered them in and they’re definitely not going to trust you.

So you have to give away something that is valuable to them and that will help you start to build a relationship of trust with your new email subscriber.

This is incredibly important because those leads are not valuable at all if they don’t think you’re trustworthy.

So make sure you’re giving away something that they will really find value in.

Tip 2: Have A Compelling Headline…

Having a compelling headline is extremely important.

For one, its purpose is to pique the interest of the person who’s arrived at your squeeze page or your landing page.

If it doesn’t spark any interest in that person, they’re just going to click away immediately and you’ve lost that lead.

Your headline really should be an attention grabber…

In fact, I remember being told once that you should think of your headline as a promise to the person who’s arrived at your landing page.

So that’s what I do now. I always think of my headline as a promise to the person who’s just arrived.

Now, remember, you have to fulfill that promise with your free giveaway because you want to be ethical, and you want to build trust with your new potential customer.

But thinking of the headline as a promise makes the whole process of creating one a little bit easier.

So for example, again in the weight loss niche we might say something like  “How To Lose Weight In 30 Days Without Leaving Your Home…”

Or maybe we’re in the baseball Niche and our promise is “How To Hit The Ball With More Power Without Going To The Gym”.

And this kind of formula of making a statement and then saying “without” doing something is a powerful way to phrase your promise.

So when you build your landing page try it out and make sure that your headline is a compelling promise that you’re going to fulfill with your free giveaway.

Tip 3: Keep It Simple…

When a person arrives on your squeeze page, the last thing you want them to do is get confused.

You want them to know exactly what to do, which is always to submit their email in exchange for your free giveaway.

So you really want to make that whole process as easy as possible for them to understand as it can be.

No one arriving on your landing page should ever be asking themselves “well what do I do next?”.

They should be guided by you, subconsciously, into knowing exactly what they’re supposed to do.

And the way you do that is by setting up your page to be simple and straightforward where there’s really one thing a visitor is able to do.

what is a squeeze page

For example, you never want to link out to other pages from your squeeze page.

That could end up sending your potential lead away and chances are, they won’t come back.

The only option they should have for leaving is to enter their email address and hit the submit button.

Now, one thing you can do is make sure that your submit button is extremely large and make sure that it stands out with a color that is congruent with the rest of your landing page.

Many people say that blue and green buttons convert the best, but I think it really is something that you should be split testing once your page is up and running.

More on that later, but again you want to make sure that there’s only one thing for the person to do and that they know exactly what they’re supposed to do once they arrive on your page.

Tip 4: Add Urgency Or Scarcity… Or Both!

Adding urgency or scarcity to your squeeze page will increase your conversions.

If you tell the person landing on your page that they only have a few minutes to get they’re free ebook or training or cheat sheet…

…then they’re more likely to put in their email to get the information they want. And the same thing goes for scarcity.

benefits of a squeeze page

If you tell the person landing on your page that there are only 500 free books available and there are no more being sent out afterwards…

…it just gives that extra psychological push for them to enter their information and get what they want.

Now when you’re using Clickfunnels it’s very easy to add a minute timer on to your squeeze page…

…and again that just gives a little bit of urgency to the person who’s thinking about putting their email in to get your free giveaway.

Tip 5: Split Test

Plain and simple you need to be split testing. Split testing is when you put two versions of your landing page up side by side…

…and send traffic to both and see which one gets you a higher percentage of opt-ins.

Clickfunnels makes split testing really simple because you can literally clone your landing page, change one detail about it…

…and split test it to see which one gets you the higher percentage of opt-ins. And the way you do it is by testing each part of your page independently.

For example, you should split test your headlines and then your button color and then the text on your buttons and so on.

And if you do that, inch by inch you’ll make your page better and better and higher and higher converting, and you won’t be guessing either.

You’ll be making changes based on data from real people opting into your page.

So this is something that you definitely need to be doing if you have an opt-in page especially if you’re paying for traffic to be sent there.

And as I said before Clickfunnels makes split testing extremely simple and it’s one of the reasons I really like the software so much.

So that’s it! If you’re building a squeeze page, I want you to keep in mind these 5 tips:

  1. Make sure you have a good offer…
  2. Have a compelling headline…
  3. Keep it simple…
  4. Add urgency or scarcity to your page…
  5. And split test.

And if you pay attention to these things when you’re creating your landing page, you have a great chance of being successful.
